Panthera D-SAD

The Panthera Digital-Sleep Apnea Device is a dental appliance that can be used for the treatment of snoring and/or obstructive sleep apnea. The appliance is made of type 12 polyamide, a resistant biocompatible nylon. It is the smallest device in the industry and is the only one that is entirely printed using CAD/CAM technology.

Who can use it?

The Panthera D-SAD is recommended to be prescribed for the treatment of snoring, mild to moderate sleep apnea, and severe sleep apnea for patients who do not tolerate the CPAP treatment or comply with it.

How It’s Made

The Panthera Dental team uses its own proprietary software to design the Panthera D-SAD. From a 3D scan of the stone model or intra-oral scanning, each device is designed specifically for your patient. Thanks to our state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology, you will obtain a perfectly adapted device, unlike hand-crafted appliances. Our procedure provides more predictability for a completely customized device.

Titration

The unique titration mechanism of the Panthera D-SAD uses rods made of the same biocompatible polymer as the device. The length of the rods can vary from 16 to 36 mm and can be adjusted in 0.5-mm increments for a highly accurate and customized advancement. Those rods are designed to resist to bruxism and they will never elongate. Moreover, they will not disengage during sleep thanks to the unique way they connect to the device. We also offer rods specifically designed for heavy bruxism.

Micro 2- ProSomnus®

One of the appliances provided by Sleep Better Ohio is the MicrO2 sleep apnea oral device. The MicrO2 device helps relieve snoring and other obstructive sleep apnea symptoms, and is comfortable and easy to use. It is a great option for gaggers as it has no acrylic on the insides of the teeth.

If your local sleep specialist has diagnosed you with obstructive sleep apnea, we can provide the MicrO2 device to help relieve your symptoms. You will rest better at night and enjoy better overall health. The MicrO2 offers greater tongue space through its small design. It is one of the most comfortable custom-made lower jaw advancement devices now available. It works by pushing and maintaining your lower jaw slightly forward, lifting the throat tissues away from the back of the throat, and clearing your airways.

A MicrO2 device is only available through your dentist. If you choose this device, we will take an impression of your teeth, and record a bite registration with your lower jaw pushed forward. The impression and records will be sent to a lab for appliance construction. Once completed, our team will examine the appliance and confirm its fit. Then we will send you home with instructions for the cleaning, insertion, removal, and general care of your Micr02 appliance.

Dynaflex Dorsal

Originally designed as a nighttime TMJ splint, the Dorsal Appliance has evolved into one of the most popular choices for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. The two-piece construction allows for patient comfort and side-to-side jaw movement. The Dorsal fins on the lower appliance interface with inclines built into the outside of the upper appliance to dictate a specific lower-jaw position. The appliance is traditionally fabricated with adjustable screws in the upper appliance to allow for further lower-jaw advancement.
